Our Pastor

Biography

Pastor Chris, servant leader, loving husband and involved father. These three roles best describe the driving force behind his passion for life. He is the Pastor of Victorious Believers Ministries COGIC where the motto is Passionately Seeking God, Joyfully Serving Others and Intentionally Loving People. In May 2010, he was appointed successor to his father, mentor and hero as pastor by the International Presiding Bishop, Charles E. Blake. His love for God and God’s people is demonstrated through the vision, purpose and plan to build the five pillars of ministry (family, discipleship, evangelism, missions and community development) undergirded with prayer.

Husband & Father

In 1996, he married his high school sweetheart & love of his life, Kenyatta Nelson. Quality time being both of their love languages, they make it a priority to always put each other first as they navigate life’s journey. They enjoy traveling, sports, and regular date nights. God has blessed their union with two adorable sons, Carrington Drew & Chandler Blake. Not only does he cherish the titles of husband, father, and pastor, but he is also known as coach Pryor to all of his sons’ friends on the football, basketball and soccer field.

Family

Pastor Chris is the youngest child of the late Bishop Marvin C. and Evangelist Ruth C. Pryor. His parents instilled in him the importance of a healthy balance between faith, family, & friendships with an emphasis on education. The youngest of two brothers (Bro. Derrick and the late Elder Mel) and sister (the late Missionary Vonda Massey), he cherishes the close relationship he shares with them as they serve along side him in ministry.

Education & Occupation

He has prepared himself for corporate America with a B.A. in Business Administration, concentration in Management and a M.A. in Educational Leadership both from Saginaw Valley State University. He was employed by Pfizer Inc, for 13 years, where he was the recipient of many top awards; Rookie of the Year, Regional Advisory Board & President Cabinet Award. Pastor Chris’ love for the word, inspired him to return back to school pursing a Master of Practical Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary where he complete his studies in May 2020.
